Where barbers are born

For nearly two decades, we've trained students from the South Side of Chicago and Northwest Indiana in the craft, the business, and the licensure requirements that come with professional barbering.

Whether you're starting fresh or making a career change, our hands-on, instructor-led programs get you ready for a real career behind the chair, not just a certificate on the wall.

Licensed and accredited barber school

Credentials determine whether your hours count toward your license and whether employers and lenders take your diploma seriously.

  • IDFPR licensed. Every hour counts toward your Illinois barber license.
  • NACCAS accredited. Calumet City holds full accreditation. Roseland holds provisional accreditation while it builds its track record.
  • Aid eligible. Accreditation makes our programs eligible for federal financial aid and VA education benefits.

Financial aid and VA benefits available

Money shouldn't be the reason you don't chase a career you'd be proud of. If you qualify, you may be eligible for federal financial aid, and we're approved for VA education benefits for veterans, active duty service members, and military dependents.

What's available

  • Federal financial aid (FAFSA) for students who qualify
  • VA education benefits (GI Bill®), School Code 042244
  • One-on-one guidance from our Financial Aid Administrator
  • A Net Price Calculator so you know what to expect before you apply

GI Bill® is a registered trademark of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). More information about education benefits is available at va.gov.
